One of my favorite people in the world is someone I have never met. However, he has made a huge impact on my life. His name is Spencer W. Kimball. He was born March 28, 1895 and died November 5, 1985. He was the twelfth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I remember the day he died it was Saturday and I was at Brigham Young University and there was snow on the ground. My roommates and I sat and cried. I remember driving to Salt Lake City a couple of days later and standing in line for several hours just waiting to pay my last respects and somehow thank him for all that he had been with a simple wave of my hand as I walked past his casket. Today as I was looking for some information I came across the following quote by him.
“begin today and write … your goings and your comings, your deeper thoughts, your achievements, and your failures, your associations and your triumphs, your impressions and your testimonies. We hope you will do this, … for this is what the Lord has commanded, and those who keep a personal journal are more likely to keep the Lord in remembrance in their daily lives... Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life...What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”

About your journal. I hav kept one since MIA and some is probably considered X-rated. But at times I get them all out, I think bout 10, and see just how far I have come or how far I have fallen behind.
Grandma Vicki saying,
Love you all
