Logan's Birthday

Today we had the chance to celebrate Logan's birthday. He turned 3. He has been very excited for his birthday party. A couple of weeks ago I was at his house and he asked if I was coming to his party. I said yes and asked him how old he would be. He held up all 10 fingers and proudly stated "I'll be 3." He got lots of boy toys. We had a taco bar and some wonderful cake.

I am going to put some pictures on here so that anyone who doesn't have anything better to do with their time except to read this blog can see the baby with the most hair. It might be the most hair I have ever seen on a baby and look at those eyes.

My parents have 6 great grandchildren and 4 of them were there today. I couldn't miss the opportunity to take their picture. As you can tell from the picture there was no way to pose them. It was scary enough to think Gavin was holding Aiden. This was probably Gavin's dream come true. Usually his mom and dad are telling him no don't pick him up because as soon as Aiden whimpers Gavin is right there to try to pick him up and comfort him. And even though it doesn't look like it Hunter (the baby with lots of hair) is only 1 month older than Aiden (the baby without hair.)

Nicholas was so excited to be dressed as a twin. NOT

It was a fun day. Any time my family gets together it is fun though. One of our first family reunions was held in a cemetery after a funeral. We had a picnic.

DeloresI am so glad that you are now on the blog. I LOVED the pictures.. In fact, I think at about 2:30am I was stil looking at Hunter and kissing the computer. I like to play the song "you'er gonna miss this" This is so great. the only thing is, I think if is highly unfair that ya'll get to see and play and hold my grandson and I don't. But everybody, I have made Beth and Bruce designated grandparents in my absence. So she gets mr time with Hunter. Until I get over there.
Hey, I can write some long letters to. I am still tryng to figure out things so you may have to teach me a lot.
Now I don't feel so far away. And not quite so homesick. I need any and all pictures. So I can print them out and put them on my "Closet Door of Fame". I think I have our family documented all the way back to when I was little.
It is so much fun to look at that door and see the legacy continue.Only problem is when I move the door comes with me. Michael will just have to get a new one.
I miss all of you so very much. I think it is time for me to come home.Hopefully in the next few years. Right now, with the ecomony the way it is, is a bad time. But i will be back.
Delores, you talked about Spencer Kimball. My favorite prophet was David O. McKay. I grew up then and I remember thinking that whenI got married, that I wanted to be treated the way he treated his "bride" he always calld her that.I even remember his famous quote, " No SUCCESS CAN COMPENSATE FOR FAILURE IN THE HOME" i still have the piece that we cross stitched in MIA with it on it.
This is grandma VIcki saying,
I love you all and miss you
I am so thankful for this family. We have our ups and downs, but we truly are a unique family. Because the extended family is still close to everyone. And we know if crunch time comes, this family pulls together. Keep the pictures coming and tell McKenzie that she only has 8 more years to go.
Grandma Vicki saying,
I love and miss you all.

Why Clayfrog?

A long time ago (our future animal rights activist who was 3 at the time) found a family of frogs in the clay and decided that was a good name for us because we would save all the frogs.
