Founder's Day

Every year since I was a teenager our little town has celebrated Founder's Day. I have heard rumors that this may have been the last year with the Fair which makes me a little sad. What more could you ask for in a weekend than to have a Parade in the morning, Pizza for lunch,Snow Cones,Cotton Candy and Funnel Cake for dinner and top it off with fireworks for dessert. You then can pay $20.00 for an armband that lets you ride all the Carnival rides from 6pm-11pm.

We started out the morning with a parade. We were so excited to be joined by the Kartchner family. My mom and dad have adopted them and we voted and we are okay with that.

Jill and Kristina had a hard time remembering to face the camera.

My friend Jen Schaefer was also in the parade but said I couldn't put her picture on here. Since I want her to continue to be my friend you will just have to see her daughter turning the cartwheel. She did that for the whole parade route.

One of Melissa's previous softball coaches is now running for State Senate. Guess he figured that was a peice of cake after coaching Melissa.

We saw lots of friends and got more candy than anyone needs to eat in a year.

Things we found while there.

Aiden smiling.

A pink Cadillac.

New hairstyles for camp.

After the parade we went back to Grandma's house for some pizza and a nap.

We had so much fun at the Carnival on Thursday that we went again Saturday night. We took a few more people with us and saw a lot more friends. Thank goodness for cell phones or we would have spent the whole night looking for each other becuase they all had a different favorite ride. Unfortunately Bruce got called into work so he didn't get to go but luckily there were enough people there to ride with Deven so Beth could talk to me and take pictures.

Saw Nick with his friends and quickly pretended we didn't know who they were.

We saw some really great fireworks with some really great friends and family.

This was the first year that the Sudduth's weren't with us and we missed them.

Thank you for not posting the picture :c).

Why Clayfrog?

A long time ago (our future animal rights activist who was 3 at the time) found a family of frogs in the clay and decided that was a good name for us because we would save all the frogs.
