Last night at church we had an activity where we invited all the "grandparents" of the ward to come play a game called "Burning Down the House" with the youth. I burned my houses down 11 times. Not a good thing. We would change tables based on how well we did in each round and one time I thought it was really fun that Nicholas, my mom and I found ourselves at a table together. My friend Kinsey P. was taking pictures so I asked her to take a 3 Generation picture for me. My dad was also there but he was long gone to the winner's table while we were at the loser's end of the game. It was a great time and I was excited to have my parents there as well as for Nicholas to have his real grandparents there.
As always the kids loved my mom and dad and one of the young women from another unit that meets with us said "Oh! that's your mom. I was at the table with her. She is so much fun and so funny. I really like her." And another youth said "Hey they are the people who dress up each year and bring us breakfast for Halloween." What great parents, what a great night.

That sounds like a really fun activity. I love your Mom & Dad. They are incredible people.
I'll never forget the first Sunday we lived in PTC and came to church - your Mom came right up to us and invited us to dinner that afternoon. You & your family are an incredible example of service, goodness & thoughtfulness. I'm blessed to be one of the countless beneficiaries.
DD! You come from and are good people! We are all blessed to know you!!
It looks like you guys had a great time! See you soon.
We had a great time. I hope your parents did too, even though I totally blew it not renting a limo to pick them up in!!
You are going to have to tell me more about this game and overall night - it sounds like so much fun! It is good to steal (I mean share) ideas! haha
