My Singing Debut

Wednesday night was our Young Women in Excellence. This is an evening where the girls we work with at church share things they have been working on for the past year. This year our theme has been "Be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works" from Mosiah. I love service and with a mother like mine I have seen service my whole life so I love this theme. We had a wonderful video created by one of the leaders that told the story of the 10 virgins. As I was watching this video I thought about my friends and family and where they might stand in the picture. I have heard this story many times and have seen this presentation presented in many ways but the lady who recorded it had the most beautiful speaking voice and I loved it. We then had a video of all the young women and what they had done during the year to fill their lamps with oil. We have a new secretary Kinsey and she did a beautiful job. The girls loved watching themselves and it was fun to hear the different things they had done during the year to abound in good works - from serving in a soup kitchen to working with special needs children in cheerleading. We then had a wonderful talk by a member of our Bishopric. (Our Bishopric are the leaders of our individual unit. We as leaders then sang the closing song for the girls. This was not my idea and I'm glad that it over but it was a beautiful song. We ended the night with what else but a chocolate feast. We had a chocolate fountain with fruit and cake. It was a great evening and I am so lucky to serve such wonderful young women and with such wonderful leaders. Even if they can all sing and I can't they still let me be a part of it.

Why Clayfrog?

A long time ago (our future animal rights activist who was 3 at the time) found a family of frogs in the clay and decided that was a good name for us because we would save all the frogs.
